Testicular Fortitude

Today’s words of wisdom come from Jason Kahlipa, 2nd place finisher from the 2013 CrossFit Games.  Focus on the 4th paragraph….and most importantly the last sentence.

“So why did you start CrossFit? Was it to get in really good shape, push yourself, and feel better? That is why I started. That is the way 99% of us start. Perhaps 1% start specifically to compete in CrossFit. 
 
The reality is there are probably a handful of athletes making a living from competing in CrossFit only. 
 
So why compete? Why workout/follow workouts?
 
To have fun and get in the best shape of your life!!! Enjoy the experience, try not to be so hard on yourself. I promise things will be ok if you don’t PR everyday. Think about CrossFit as an endurance event not a sprint…..stay consistent, eat and sleep well, and repeat for the rest of your life. 
 
Lets have some fun while getting fit as hell and being able to accomplish almost any task presented to us. “
